Cultural EventsNehru Sidhant Kendra Trust organizes annual cultural events in order to promote the great cultural legacy of India, promote cultural harmony and bringing to the forefront all the young artists who can bridge the gap between aspirations and reality. The Trust has been holding various activities like – “Ek Shaam Sahir Ke Naam”, “Noor-e-Sahir Award”, "Jashn-e-Sahir" wherein eminent personalities from the world of arts and culture have been recognized, "Yuva Tarang" to nurture young talent of Punjab, “Hasya Kavi Sammelans”, Musical dramas - “Rooh-e-Majrooh” celebrating the life of Majrooh Sultanpuri and “Sahir, Kahan Ho Tum” celebrating the life of Sahir Ludhianvi.
Noor-e-Sahir AwardThe award is aimed at not only recognizing and honouring the lifelong commitment of the awardee but is also a tribute to the legendary poet Sahir Ludhianvi. The Trust has instituted "Noor-e-Sahir" award in 2019 to be presented to eminent personalities who have made outstanding contributions in the field of arts and culture at its annual event – "Ek Shaam Sahir Ke Naam". The first award was presented to Shri Amjad Ali Khan in 2022 and to Late Shri Mukesh Chand Mathur (Posthumous), the living legend of Bollywood in 2024.
