The Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust (Trust) is deeply committed to empowering young minds, especially girl students, by giving them an opportunity to pursue higher education. To achieve this objective, the Trust has launched merit-cum-means scholarship program that fully covers tuition fees (as per the institute’s fee structure) to support students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds who aspire to continue their studies after 12th grade. The scholarship is for students perusing 3-5 years undergraduate or integrated master's degrees in Commerce, Engineering, and Medical fields at *selected colleges and universities in Ludhiana district. The recipients of this scholarship will be known as Satya Scholars. Through this scholarship, the Trust hopes to nurture talent, inspire dreams, and enable deserving students to pursue their education with confidence and dignity.

Scholarship with a Difference

  • Scholarships are for the full duration of the UG courses including integrated courses of up to 5 years (subject to meeting the renewal criteria).
  • Each scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees as per the fee structure of the selected institutes.
  • Full tuition fee if paid by the scholar in the first year will be reimbursed directly to the student’s or parent’s account.
  • In case Satya scholars are mandated to reside on campus as per the campus policy, the scholar may apply for hostel and mess charges, which may be considered by the Trust on a case-to-case basis.
  • Once the Satya Scholars graduate & are subsequently gainfully employed, they will undertake to voluntarily support at least one student at a school or college level on a continuous basis.

Eligibility

  • Must have passed Class 12 board exams from Ludhiana district with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Must be a citizen and resident of India.
  • Annual parents' income should not exceed INR 5 Lakh from all sources. In case of orphan students, the guardian’s income should also not exceed INR 5 Lakh.
  • Open to students pursuing 3–5 years UG/integrated master's (eligible) courses in Commerce (BBA, BCom), Engineering (BTech, B.E. (all streams), B.Sc. (Engineering), BCA, B. Arch), and Medical (MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Sc. (Nursing), B.Sc. (Paramedics)) from select colleges/universities (Institutes) located in Ludhiana district.   • Preference given to girls, athletes (state/national/international level), persons with disabilities, orphans, and children of single parents.

Selection Criteria

The selection of the candidates will be based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria and assessment parameters as established by the Trust.
